The Plastic Surgery department is 15 years old and all types of Reconstructive and cosmetic surgery procedures are done her routinely. Cleft lip and palate, joint fingers, haemangioms, hypospadias, Facial injuries and fractures, burn contractures, reconstruction for cancer patients. Cosmetic surgery of the nose, breast, hair transplantation, liposuction, blesphroplasty etc are all done routinely.

Dr. Chhajlani has been trained in Mumbai, Germany and USA.

There is a twelve bedded burn unit where 2700 burn patients have been treated so far. Patients are treated by a burn team committed to their speedy recovery, to a functionally, psychologically, aesthetically acceptable state. The unit has the advantage of multi disciplinary professional help in terms of anesthetists, psychologist, pulmonologist, nephrologists, endocrinologist, orthopedic and neurosurgeon backup.

There is physiotherapy department attached to the unit for adequate attention to prevent deformities and optimal functional out come. Prolonged follow up of these patients goes a long way in their rehabilitation. The burn team is also committed to burn prevention programs and providing education/training/research in burns management.

The unit has a dietician, physiotherapist and psychologist as team members to cater to specific needs of burn patients.
